Ticketmaster is the ticket marketplace owned by Live Nation Entertainment, Inc., a United States registrant with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Its African operations are documented in Live Nation filings rather than in a separate corporate register. Ticketmaster South Africa (Pty) Ltd first appears in the subsidiaries exhibit to Live Nation Form 10-K for the year ended 31 December 2020, filed 1 March 2021. Ticketmaster states it launched in the South African market in 2022.
On 24 July 2024 Ticketmaster announced it had acquired Quicket, the Cape Town self-service ticketing platform. Terms were not disclosed. The subsidiaries exhibit filed with Live Nation Form 10-K for 2024 adds five entities in Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda and Zambia carrying the Quicket and Munyhub Online Ticketing Services names.
