ONErpm is an independent music distribution and artist-services company founded in 2010 by Emmanuel Zunz, headquartered in New York. It is not an African company, but it runs one of the largest distributor footprints on the continent.
It qualifies for this directory on a material, named African operation. ONErpm opened its first African office in Lagos in 2020 under country manager Osagie Osarenz, then added offices in Accra, Abidjan, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam and Johannesburg, with George Avakian as country lead for South Africa. Osarenz was promoted to Director of African Operations, based in Lagos.
It matters as one of the few non-major distributors to build staffed offices across both anglophone and francophone Africa rather than serving the continent remotely.
