The Zambian Music Copyright Protection Society (ZAMCOPS) is Zambia’s music collective management organisation, based in Lusaka. It began collecting music royalties in Zambia in 1996 and started distributing them to rights holders in 1998.
It administers public performance, mechanical and synchronisation rights in Zambia, and works with the government, CISAC and WIPO. It is the body that licenses music use and distributes royalties to Zambian composers, authors and publishers.
