SODAV
Senegal's collective management organisation for copyright and neighbouring rights, in Dakar.
SODAV, the Societe Senegalaise du Droit d’Auteur et des Droits Voisins, is Senegal’s collective management organisation for copyright and neighbouring rights, based in Dakar. It was created in 2016 to replace the former Bureau Senegalais du Droit d’Auteur (BSDA).
It is a private non-profit society founded by authors, performing artists, producers and publishers to manage their rights. It collects and distributes copyright and neighbouring-rights royalties across Senegal and, through reciprocal agreements with sister societies, internationally, and reports a membership in the thousands and a repertoire of tens of thousands of works.
