CKay Holdings LLC is the rights-holding entity credited on Nigerian artist Chukwuka “CKay” Ekweani’s recordings since mid-2025, replacing Warner Music Africa on the phonogram line. It sits alongside Boyfriend Music Ltd, the Lagos-based management and publishing company CKay and his manager Joseph Salubi launched on 27 August 2024, and its US subsidiary Boyfrnd Music LLC.
It is independent, founded by CKay, who is CEO, and Salubi, who is managing director. CKay’s recordings are released under exclusive licence to AWAL Recordings, meaning CKay retains ownership of his masters rather than assigning them to a label.
