Bucie Reflects on Successful ‘Faithful With Bucie’ Concert

Bucie has shared a public message after her one-night-only concert Faithful With Bucie at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Saturday, 15 August 2026. The event marked her return to a headline live performance.

The show was billed as a 7pm one-night-only production centred on her catalogue, with a line-up of guest performers.

Line-up and guest appearances

  • Thabsie, Kwesta and Mpumi performed live.
  • Emtee, Zola 7 and Nokwazi made appearances during the evening.

Organisers described the concert ahead of the event as a special live performance built around Bucie’s music journey and the songs associated with her career.

Bucie’s post-show message

After the show, Bucie used social media to thank attendees and those who shared their experiences online. She acknowledged people who sang, danced and engaged with the event, as well as support shown through posts and conversations.

“To every single person who came to #FaithfulWithBucie who sang with me, danced with me, cried with me, laughed with me, spoke about the show, posted about it, shared your moments and your love online: NDIYABULELA,” she wrote.

She also thanked the musicians who performed alongside her, saying she felt every note and moment shared on stage and hoped to extend the same support to them that they had shown her.

Return to headline performance

Faithful With Bucie formed part of Bucie’s return to headline live performances after a period away from full-scale concert stages. The sold-out staging on 15 August closed with her direct acknowledgement of the audience, musicians and other contributors.
