Coleske Artists is a South African music company specialising in Afrikaans pop and adult contemporary repertoire. It runs its own distribution operation, handling physical stock and supplying a significant share of the South African retail segment, and provides distribution, royalty accounting, marketing and legal services to independent sub-labels.
In 2021 it was acquired by Warner Music South Africa, which described it as the largest independent label focused on Afrikaans repertoire.
It matters as a rare example of a language-specific catalogue business with its own distribution infrastructure, and as one of Warner’s route into Afrikaans-market repertoire.
