Makhadzi Entertainment is a South African record label and artist services company operating out of the Venda-language star Makhadzi’s own career. It was launched in 2023 after Makhadzi (Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona) announced she would not renew her contract with Open Mic Productions, telling press she was starting “my own company Makhadzi Entertainment” to manage her recordings and other business ventures.
The company is credited as phonogram rights holder on Makhadzi’s releases since May 2023, including the albums Mbofholowo (2023), Miracle Child (2024) and Sesi Ka Rose (2025), and its own website lists artist management, bookings, events and ticketing alongside Makhadzi and fellow artist Fortunator SA on its roster. No corporate filing confirming its ownership structure or directors has been located; the basis for describing it as Makhadzi’s company is her own public statement, corroborated by South African outlets including News24, Kaya959 and ECR.
The label’s distributor is not established: its releases carry two different GS1 barcode prefixes shared with other South African labels, and neither prefix holder could be confirmed.
