South African artist Zakes Bantwini has released his debut on Anjunadeep, a two-track EP titled Impatient/You Never Know. The project features Sun-El Musician, kisskisskiss and Jordan Arts.
The EP pairs Bantwini with fellow South African producer Sun-El Musician and vocalist kisskisskiss on “Impatient.” “You Never Know” features Jordan Arts, a South African-born, London-based producer and multi-instrumentalist.
Bantwini’s career milestones#
- Won the GRAMMY for Best Global Music Performance in 2023 for “Bayethe,” a collaboration with Nomcebo Zikode and Wouter Kellerman.
- “Osama” with Kasango has surpassed 60 million streams and spent 14 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on South African radio.
- Launched the Zakes Bantwini Foundation in 2026 and performed in New York, Bali and South Africa through his Mayonie Productions brand.

Sun-El Musician is known for the hit “Akanamali” and holds multiple multi-platinum certifications from the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA). He recently headlined the Red Bull Symphonic South Africa concert at Johannesburg’s Montecasino Outdoor Events Area.
Jordan Arts has received support from international acts including David Guetta, Paul van Dyk and Lane 8, and has performed at Ultra South Africa and the Anywhere In Your City festival in Durban.
The two-track release extends Bantwini’s presence in international electronic music while bringing together established and emerging South African talent.
