Roiii, a South African rapper and multidisciplinary artist from Pretoria, has announced that new music will arrive on Friday, 21 August.
He shared the news on Instagram with a four-word post: “NEW MUSIC, FRIDAY.” The message confirmed the release date but did not name the song, list any featured artists, or describe the sound.
Recent output and collaborations
Roiii is known for drill-inspired beginnings, sharp bars, and a genre-bending approach that has moved beyond conventional hip-hop. His Freestyle Fridays series has produced raw performances and ideas that have sometimes become official releases.
- “Nun But a Number” featuring Keeme Molapo, released in December 2025
- The Extra Mile with Boity
- “No Niggas (Like Me)” with 25K and Mochen
Independent direction
In 2026, Roiii invited producers and vocalists to contribute to an R&B-inspired project and said he was interested in exploring country-influenced sounds.
He has operated independently since his earlier association with SkhandaWorld.
The announcement has left fans waiting to see which direction he takes on Friday, whether that means the harder-edged energy of his early work, a melodic approach, or another genre shift. His fanbase, known as Rillas, is awaiting the release. Roiii has not shared additional details ahead of the release.
