SA: Sasa MSK teams up with S’Villa, Epic Minds on new single ‘Sabela’

South African singer and songwriter Sasa MSK has released ‘Sabela’, a new single featuring S’Villa and produced by Epic Minds.

Released on 25 September 2026, the song is the 24-year-old artist’s first major release since she was discovered in 2025. It explores the role of emotional support in relationships, particularly when one partner is pursuing personal or professional ambitions.

‘Sabela’ draws on Sasa MSK’s own experience of being in a relationship in which her decision to pursue music seriously was not met with the support she expected. The experience provided the basis for a song about encouragement, reassurance and the need for partners to make room for each other’s ambitions.

The song’s narrative centres on the idea that relationships should not require people to choose between love and their aspirations. Instead, it considers the importance of having a partner who supports personal growth and believes in the other person’s potential.

S’Villa contributes to the track alongside Sasa MSK, bringing another perspective to its exploration of relationships and ambition.

The production comes from Epic Minds, the music outfit led by pan-African music executive, cultural strategist and producer Eddie K. Hatitye. The production company has previously worked on projects involving artists including Skales, Camidoh and S’Villa.

For Sasa MSK, ‘Sabela’ marks another step in developing her career and establishing her identity as an emerging artist from Soweto. The song draws on personal experiences while addressing themes of relationships, ambition and emotional support.
