South African singer, songwriter and performer Moonchild Sanelly is set to explore Afro-house with her upcoming project The Blueprint, due for release through Zakes Bantwini’s Mayonie Productions.
The project marks a new direction for the artist, whose work has incorporated electronic music, gqom, amapiano, alternative pop and other African club sounds. She has previously described her style as ‘Future Ghetto Funk’.
‘The Blueprint’ will explore Afro-house while retaining elements of Moonchild Sanelly’s distinctive vocal style and experimental approach to music. The project is expected to combine electronic production and dance-oriented rhythms with her established sound.
The first single from the project is scheduled for release on 7 October 2026, followed by a second single on 21 October. The full album is due on 4 November.
Moonchild Sanelly has built a career around experimentation and has developed a distinctive visual and performance identity alongside her music. Her live work has taken her from stages in South Africa to international audiences.
The new project continues her movement between different musical styles while maintaining the creative approach that has characterised her work.
The Blueprint will begin its rollout with the first single on 7 October, ahead of the second single on 21 October and the full album on 4 November.
