Nooks Recordings is an independent Lagos-based music publishing company, co-founded by Favour Ogbolu (who works under the name Stunner and manages producer/artist CKay), Morrin Oluwatobi (who manages rapper Blaqbonez) and Laolu Aranmolate (who manages producer Yinka Bernie). The company scouts and signs Nigerian producers and composers, according to BMG’s own 15 December 2023 announcement of a publishing partnership between the two firms.

Under the BMG deal, Nooks signs and develops Nigerian songwriting and production talent, with song administration handled through BMG’s global infrastructure. The announcement describes the arrangement as a partnership, not an acquisition or equity stake: Nooks remains independent, and no ownership interest by BMG in either direction is disclosed. The first artist signed under the partnership was producer BMH, credited on CKay’s “Emiliana.”

No UK, Nigerian or other company register was found for Nooks Recordings, and it has no located standalone company website; candidate domains do not resolve. It matters as one of the few Nigerian-founded publishing operations to land a named partnership with a major-affiliated publisher, giving Lagos-based writers and producers a formal route into BMG’s international administration without giving up independence.
