Digital Music Commerce and Exchange Limited (DMCE) is a Lagos-headquartered company, founded in 2018, that works in intellectual-property valuation, catalogue administration and rights licensing for African music. It is led by Oyinkansola Foza Fawehinmi as president and Olayinka Ezekiel as chief operating officer.
DMCE administers catalogues for Nigerian artists and estates including K1 De Ultimate, the Estate of Dagrin, Sola Allyson Obaniyi, Premier Records and the Estate of Chief Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, work that has included tracing and consolidating masters scattered across unofficial distributors. In 2023, Sony Music Publishing Nigeria named DMCE its partner for a sampling and licensing initiative built around some of those catalogues. In 2022, DMCE launched Orin Fund with the US royalty-advance firm chordCash, an e-commerce marketplace offering African artists financial products including advances against future streaming income.
The company describes itself as active beyond Nigeria, with references to operations in Ghana and Tanzania as well as the US, though Lagos remains its base.
