The Copyright and Neighboring Rights Collective Management Society of Ethiopia, CNCM, is Ethiopia’s collective management organisation for authors and rights holders. Its own website states that it was registered with the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Authority on 18 June 2017 and that it licenses users across categories including streaming platforms.

Its published board is Dr Mussie Yakob (chairman), the artist Tewodros Mosisa (vice chairman), Deacon Daniel Kibret, the artist Tsedenia G/Markos, Tsegaye Eshetu, Aklilu H/Mariam, Binyam Worku, Binyam Alemayehu, Aregahegn Werash, Debesh Temesgen, Abere Adamu, Seyum Ayalew and Desalegn Hailu.

Its mobile app, listed on the Apple App Store as “CMO Ethiopia” with the bundle identifier com.cncmethiopia.app, is published by 2F Capital . LLC and carries the copyright line “© 2023 2F Capital”. 2F Capital is also the seller of record and copyright holder of the Sewasew Music streaming app. CNCM’s own website names no technology partner, its Partners page lists none, and does not mention 2F Capital. The relationship between the two, if any, could not be established.
