2F Capital

2F Capital is an Addis Ababa technology holding company. Its own corporate history states that “TWOF Capital PLC was legally established on June 2020 by experienced business people and engineers with a vision of creating resident businesses ecosystems with disruptive technologies”, and that with “a team of more than 35 engineers and programmers we have been developing and bundling technologies to reinvent the entertainment industry through our registered brand ‘Sewasew Multimedia’ streaming platform”. The same page describes 2F Capital as “a subsidiary of The 2F Group”.

The brands it lists are Sewasew Multimedia; CRG, described as “a record label platform that is aimed at collecting the highest quality of Ethiopian Sound and production”; Hands-On Institute of Technology; AdNeuron; i2x Systems; and alphafox.

Two Apple App Store listings name the company as seller of record. The Sewasew Music app is published by “2F Capital . LLC” and carries the copyright line “© 2022 2F Capital”. The “CMO Ethiopia” app, bundle identifier com.cncmethiopia.app, is published by the same seller and carries “© 2023 2F Capital”. CMO Ethiopia is the app of the Copyright and Neighboring Rights Collective Management Society of Ethiopia, the country’s collective management organisation.

The nature of the relationship between 2F Capital and the collective management society could not be established. The society’s own website names no technology partner, its Partners page lists none, and 2F Capital is not mentioned anywhere on it.
