Zinodict Music Named Waziyung Its First Signing on 1 October 2026. The Single That Followed Names Zinodict as the Master Owner on Apple, and Deezer’s Label Field for the Same Track Reads “Independent”

Deal sheet

Status
Announced by one party, and partly evidenced by a rights credit. Zinoleesky announced the signing on his own Instagram account on Thursday 1 October 2026. Waziyung has issued no public statement located by this desk, and no statement attributed to him appears in any source obtained.

Unlike most announcement-stage records in this database, this one has a release behind it. "Fuji Vibe", the single named in the announcement, was published on 2 October 2026 and its delivered phonogram credit reads "℗ 2026 Zinodict Music" on all six Apple storefronts checked by this desk on 8 October 2026.

What has NOT been evidenced is the agreement itself. No recording contract, deal memo, term sheet, assignment, corporate filing or rights-registry entry relating to either party has been obtained, and neither party has published any term of any kind. As at 8 October 2026, six days after release, "Fuji Vibe" is the only Waziyung release carrying a Zinodict Music credit on Apple, and it is also his most recent release on both Apple and Deezer.

Type
Licensing
Parties
Zinodict Music
Amount
Not disclosed. No advance, royalty rate, royalty split, term, number of committed releases, option, recoupment provision, marketing commitment, equity interest or any other financial or contractual term appears in any source obtained, and neither party has published one. Both trade accounts of the announcement are silent on money. No figure is asserted anywhere in this record and none should be inferred from it.
Rights covered
MASTER RECORDINGS, ON THE EVIDENCE OF ONE RECORDING. The only right this record evidences is the sound recording copyright in a single master: "Fuji Vibe" by Waziyung, Apple collection 6815895312, released 2 October 2026, one track, 146,756 ms, genre Afro-Beat. Its delivered phonogram credit reads "℗ 2026 Zinodict Music".

WHAT THE CREDIT ESTABLISHES. A phonogram line names the party claiming the sound recording copyright in the metadata delivered to the store. It places Zinodict Music, not Waziyung, in the owner position on that one master. It is a factual assertion by a delivering rights holder to a retailer. It is not a court finding and it is not a contract.

WHAT THE CREDIT CANNOT ESTABLISH. The same line is produced by three materially different structures: (1) an assignment of the master from the artist to the label, (2) a master the label commissioned and owned from the first session, and (3) an artist-owned master released under a label's name. No recording agreement, assignment, deal memo or filing has been obtained, so this record does NOT choose between them and no reader should.

NO LICENCE IS EVIDENCED. The credit carries none of the formulations that indicate a licence rather than ownership. There is no "under exclusive license to", no "licensed from", no named licensor, no second party and no slash construction. Both artists' own catalogues show what a licensed or distributed master looks like by contrast: a 2026 Waziyung feature reads "℗ 2026 Boydicted || Distributed by Greatgbedu Media", and Zinoleesky's 24 September 2026 single "Malaria" with Ayo Maff reads "℗ 2026 OCEANSTREET CREATIVE LTD / EMPIRE". Those lines name two parties and separate their roles. This one names one party and asserts sole ownership, which is why this record describes Zinodict Music as the named owner of that master and not as a licensee, administrator or distributor.

A CREDIT CHANGED, AND IT CAN BE DATED. Waziyung has seven lead releases on the Apple catalogue under artist 1588569361. Five of the six preceding "Fuji Vibe" name him personally as the phonogram owner: "℗ 2023 Waziyung" on Life Pressure (31 August 2023), "℗ 2024 Waziyung" on My Life (20 February 2024) and on If No Be God (30 December 2024), "℗ 2025 Waziyung" on FESTIVO (19 October 2025) and "℗ 2026 Waziyung" on Olomi (19 April 2026), five months and thirteen days before the signing was announced. The sixth, Thankful (26 July 2024), names Tzmediahouse, a Lagos company that also appears on two Waziyung features and on Zinoleesky's 2022 single Next Level as "℗ 2022 Tzmedia House/JUNGLE". The pattern relied on here is therefore a move from self-credited masters to a label-credited master, not a move between two labels.

PUBLISHING IS A SEPARATE CHAIN AND IS NOT ESTABLISHED. No publisher, co-publisher or publishing administrator is named for Waziyung's compositions in any source obtained. Nothing indicates that Zinodict Music owns, administers or controls any share of any composition, and nothing indicates it does not. Writer and composer credits could not be obtained either: Deezer lists a single contributor on the track, the performer.

DISTRIBUTION IS NOT ESTABLISHED, AND THE IDENTIFIERS POINT AWAY FROM A SINGLE DISTRIBUTOR. No distributor, aggregator or digital service provider relationship is named in any source obtained for Zinodict Music or for this release, and no direct or intermediated DSP relationship is evidenced. The four releases on which the Zinodict Music name appears in either Apple's phonogram field or Deezer's label field carry four unrelated ISRC registrant codes and four unrelated barcodes: "Fuji Vibe" GXLF22637445, barcode 5064090114059; Zinoleesky's "Nostalgia" QT6632652560, barcode 859736119971; Zinoleesky's "Dantata" ZA56E2639836, barcode 766214703952; and "Ire (feat. Macodyy)" GXBDS2669889, barcode 5063958602134. An ISRC registrant code is allocated to a registrant, ordinarily a label or a distributor, and the country element records the agency that allocated the code rather than where a recording was made. Four different registrants across four releases is not what a single catalogue-wide distribution agreement normally produces. This is an observation about identifiers, not a finding about any named company, and no distributor is named in this record because none is evidenced.

NO EQUITY, NO CATALOGUE, NO BACK CATALOGUE. Nothing obtained indicates that any Waziyung recording released before 2 October 2026 moved anywhere; each still carries its original credit. No equity, shareholding, option over shares or catalogue interest is mentioned in any source obtained.

Territory
NO CONTRACTUAL TERRITORY IS DISCLOSED, AND NONE HAS BEEN READ. No agreement has been obtained, so no territory clause, exclusivity provision, carve-out or reversion term has been read for this arrangement.

WHAT WAS TESTED INSTEAD. The phonogram credit "℗ 2026 Zinodict Music" on Apple collection 6815895312 is identical on six storefronts queried by this desk on 8 October 2026: United States, United Kingdom, Nigeria, South Africa, France and Germany. Release timestamp (2026-10-02T07:00:00Z at collection level), track duration (146,756 ms) and track-level artist credit are identical in all six responses, which is consistent with one delivery rather than six territorial ones. The French storefront renders the genre as "Afrobeat" rather than "Afro-Beat"; the phonogram line is unchanged.

A worldwide grant should not be inferred from that. A consistent credit across storefronts shows that one party was named as rights holder everywhere the release was checked. It does not show what a contract says, and the contract has not been read.

PARTIES. Both parties present as Nigerian and Lagos-based on the evidence of their own public profiles and prior releases. Neither has a registered address this desk can confirm, because neither resolves to a corporate register this desk can read. See the caveat.

Phonogram (P-line) credits delivered by rights holders to Apple and returned by the iTunes Lookup API for artist 1588569361 (Waziyung), album entity, 200-row limit, Nigerian storefront. Fetched by this desk on 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Cited as the primary source because it is the only document obtained in which a named rights holder, rather than a press account, asserts who owns the master at issue. One response carries both halves of the finding: "℗ 2026 Zinodict Music" for "Fuji Vibe" (collection 6815895312, released 2 October 2026), alongside "℗ 2023 Waziyung" for Life Pressure, "℗ 2024 Waziyung" for My Life and If No Be God, "℗ 2025 Waziyung" for FESTIVO, "℗ 2026 Waziyung" for Olomi and "℗ 2024 Tzmediahouse" for Thankful. It returns 27 rows in total, including the artist row and features on other rights holders' releases. · Apple iTunes Lookup for the release itself, "Fuji Vibe" by Waziyung, collection 6815895312, Nigerian storefront. Fetched by this desk 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Returns the collection row with copyright "℗ 2026 Zinodict Music", collection release timestamp 2026-10-02T07:00:00Z, one track, duration 146,756 ms, genre Afro-Beat, isStreamable true, and a track row credited to Waziyung alone with no featured artist. · The same lookup on the United States storefront, fetched 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Identical phonogram credit, identical timestamp, identical duration. One of six storefronts used to test whether the credit varies by territory. · United Kingdom storefront, 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Identical phonogram credit. · South African storefront, 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Identical phonogram credit. Checked because the "Dantata" ISRC in Zinoleesky's own Zinodict-credited catalogue carries the ZA country element. · French storefront, 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Identical phonogram credit; genre renders "Afrobeat" rather than "Afro-Beat". · German storefront, 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Identical phonogram credit. · Deezer album record for the same release, fetched 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Title "Fuji Vibe", artist Waziyung, release_date 2026-10-02, barcode 5064090114059, and a label field reading "Independent". PRIMARY SOURCE FOR THE PLATFORM DIVERGENCE set out in the caveat: Deezer's label field for this recording does not name Zinodict Music. · Deezer track record for "Fuji Vibe", fetched 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). ISRC GXLF22637445, release_date 2026-10-02, one listed contributor, the performer. Source for the ISRC evidence and for the absence of any writer or composer credit. · Deezer label-field search for "Zinodict Music", run by this desk 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Returns exactly three albums: "Nostalgia" (album 961567111) and "Dantata" (album 1056380802) by Zinoleesky, and "Ire (feat. Macodyy)" (album 1008113991) by Bhadboi Kazkid. It does NOT return "Fuji Vibe". Cited so a reader can repeat both halves of that result. · Deezer album record for "Ire (feat. Macodyy)" by Bhadboi Kazkid, fetched 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Label field "Zinodict Music", release_date 2026-05-22, barcode 5063958602134. Sole source for the anomaly set out in the caveat. No corroborating phonogram line exists, because Apple carries no catalogue for this artist. · Deezer track record for "Ire (feat. Macodyy)", fetched 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). ISRC GXBDS2669889, contributors Bhadboi Kazkid and Macodyy. · Deezer discography for Waziyung (artist 148059822), fetched 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Twelve albums, earliest 10 April 2023, latest "Fuji Vibe" on 2 October 2026. Establishes that no later Waziyung release existed as at the date of this record. Deezer's label field reads "Waziyung" for My Life, FESTIVO and Olomi, which is the comparison that makes the "Independent" value on "Fuji Vibe" a change rather than a default. · Apple iTunes Lookup for Zinoleesky (artist 1464018453), album entity, 176 rows, Nigerian storefront, fetched 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Establishes which of his own releases carry the Zinodict credit: "Nostalgia" (24 April 2026) and "Dantata" (27 August 2026), and no others. Also the source for two corrections recorded in the caveat: "Malaria" (24 September 2026) reads "℗ 2026 OCEANSTREET CREATIVE LTD / EMPIRE", and "Richard Mille (feat. Zinoleesky)" (26 June 2026) still reads "℗ 2026 Marlian Music". · Arise News, "Zinoleesky Signs Waziyung As First Artist Under Zinodict Music". Fetched and read in full by this desk on 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Primary trade account for: the announcement date of Thursday 1 October 2026; the announcement format, a video showing Zinoleesky alongside Waziyung during signing; the scheduled release of "Fuji Vibe" on 2 October; the quoted Instagram text; Waziyung's description as a Lagos-based Afrosounds and Afrobeats artist also associated with the "Waziwave" tag; his prior releases FESTIVO, Olomi, My Life and Happiness; his association with NBV Squad; more than two million plays on Audiomack; and a 2023 project titled "Determination And Focus". Carries no financial term, no contract term, no rights allocation and no distributor. · Legit.ng, "Naira Marley Reacts As Zinoleesky Makes First Move As Music Label Owner After Exit From Marlian", by Olumide Alake. Fetched and read in full by this desk on 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Independent of the Arise account and reproduces the identical Instagram wording, which is why the quote is treated as corroborated. Sole source obtained for Naira Marley's comment on the announcement post, "Up next @_waziyung". Renders the artist's name as two words, "Wazi Yung". Carries no term of any kind. · A third trade account of the same announcement, dated 1 October 2026, which this desk read but does not rely on: it adds no fact absent from the two above and it frames "Malaria" with Ayo Maff as Zinoleesky's own latest release, which the phonogram credit on that single does not support. Cited for completeness and labelled so that a reader counting sources does not mistake three URLs for three independent findings. · United Kingdom Companies House company search for "Zinodict", requested with an application/json Accept header and run by this desk on 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). total_results 0. Negative evidence, cited so a reader can repeat it. · United Kingdom Companies House company search for "Waziyung", run 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). total_results 0. · United Kingdom Companies House company search for "Zinoleesky", run 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). total_results 0. · CONTROL QUERY, not a source for any claim in this record. Run by this desk on 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200) using the identical method and header as the three searches above, and returning company 07423466, Kalakuta Sunrise Limited, incorporated 29 October 2010. Cited so that the three zero-result searches are read as findings rather than as a broken query. The default HTML search page on the same host renders its results client-side and returns no result rows to a plain request, so it cannot be used for this purpose. · MusicBrainz label search for "Zinodict", run 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). count 0. No label entity exists for this imprint. · MusicBrainz artist search for "Waziyung", run 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). count 0. No artist entity exists. · MusicBrainz release search for "Waziyung", run 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). count 0. No release, and therefore no label relationship, is recorded. · The commercial Nigerian company-data aggregator used elsewhere on this site. Requested by this desk on 8 October 2026. Returns HTTP 200 but the body is a bot-verification interstitial reading "Please verify before continuing" rather than any search result. A control request for "Marlian" through the same form returned the identical wall. Cited so the failure is repeatable, and recorded because it means no Nigerian company check of any kind was possible for this record. · Audiomack profile named "ZINODICT MUSIC", url slug zinodictmusic, fetched 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). Recorded so it is NOT mistaken for the label's official channel: the account's own embedded data gives a creation timestamp of 1758833455, which is 25 September 2025, roughly seven months before the imprint was founded in April 2026, with 130 followers and 2,906 total plays, and it carries no Waziyung material. The existing company record for Zinodict Music already notes that accounts using the name on other networks are fan pages. · Waziyung's own Audiomack profile, fetched 8 October 2026 (HTTP 200). 74,414 followers. Carries "Fuji Vibe" and the 2023 project "Determination And Focus", which has no Apple or Deezer equivalent. Audiomack's phonogram field is empty on every Waziyung upload read, so it corroborates the release but adds no rights credit.

Read this before citing: WHAT IS VERIFIED, AND FROM WHAT. Two things are established and both are narrower than the announcement. First, that the sound recording "Fuji Vibe" by Waziyung, Apple collection 6815895312, released 2 October 2026, carries the delivered phonogram credit "℗ 2026 Zinodict Music", and that this credit is identical on the United States, United Kingdom, Nigerian, South African, French and German storefronts, each queried by this desk on 8 October 2026. Second, that Zinoleesky publicly announced Waziyung as Zinodict Music's first signed artist on Thursday 1 October 2026, which is reported by two separately authored and independently reachable trade accounts that reproduce his Instagram wording identically. Everything beyond those two findings is either undisclosed or unverified, as set out below.

A SIGNING ANNOUNCEMENT AND A RIGHTS POSITION ARE DIFFERENT THINGS, AND ONLY ONE OF THEM IS EVIDENCED HERE. No recording agreement, assignment, deal memo, term sheet, side letter, corporate filing or rights-registry entry relating to this arrangement has been obtained. This record therefore documents a credit line and a public statement. It does not document a contract, and nothing in it should be read as a description of one. What a phonogram credit can and cannot show is set out in full in the rights field above and should be read before this record is cited.

TWO PLATFORMS HOLD DIFFERENT INFORMATION ABOUT THE SAME RECORDING. Apple's copyright field for "Fuji Vibe" reads "℗ 2026 Zinodict Music". Deezer's label field for the same recording reads "Independent". These are two different metadata fields, a phonographic copyright line and a label name, so this is NOT a flat contradiction and this record does not present it as one. It is recorded because the comparison is informative in two directions. A Deezer label-field search for "Zinodict Music", run on 8 October 2026, returns exactly three albums, two Zinoleesky singles and one release by a third artist, and does not return "Fuji Vibe"; so the Zinodict name is present in that field elsewhere and absent here. And Deezer's label field reads "Waziyung" on three of his earlier releases, so "Independent" on this one is a change in that field rather than a platform default applied to everything he delivers. Which field reflects the underlying agreement could not be established, because the agreement has not been obtained. A reader relying on only one of the two platforms would reach a different conclusion about this recording, which is the reason the divergence is published rather than smoothed.

AN EARLIER RELEASE COMPLICATES THE "FIRST SIGNING" CLAIM AND COULD NOT BE RESOLVED. The Deezer label-field search also returns "Ire (feat. Macodyy)" by Bhadboi Kazkid, released 22 May 2026, barcode 5063958602134, ISRC GXBDS2669889, with the label field "Zinodict Music". That is four months and ten days before Waziyung was announced as the label's first signing. This desk does NOT assert that Bhadboi Kazkid is or was signed to Zinodict Music, does NOT assert that the Deezer field is inaccurate, and does NOT assert that the "first signing" claim is wrong. Apple carries no catalogue at all for that artist, so no phonogram line exists to test the field against; a search of Apple's Nigerian storefront for the artist name returns only fuzzy matches to an unrelated American performer, and a search for "Macodyy" returns nothing. No announcement, statement, filing or registry entry connecting that artist to this label was located. It is one free-text field on one platform. It is recorded because it is there, because it predates the announcement, and because it could be neither corroborated nor ruled out. Note also that "Ire" and "Fuji Vibe" are the only two of the four releases carrying the Zinodict name whose ISRCs share the GX country element; the registrant codes differ (BDS and LF2) and no inference about a common distributor is drawn from that here.

NEITHER PARTY RESOLVES TO A CORPORATE REGISTER, AND THE NIGERIAN CHECK WAS IMPOSSIBLE RATHER THAN NEGATIVE. United Kingdom Companies House company searches return total_results 0 for "Zinodict", 0 for "Waziyung" and 0 for "Zinoleesky", each run by this desk on 8 October 2026 with an application/json Accept header. A control query run with the identical method in the same session returned a live company, so those zeros are findings rather than a broken query; the URL is cited above so the control can be repeated. That establishes only that neither name is on the United Kingdom register. It establishes nothing about Nigeria. Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission operates no public search interface and no API, so no manual or automated lookup was possible, and the commercial Nigerian aggregator used elsewhere on this site now answers search requests with a bot-verification page rather than results, for a control term as well as for "Zinodict". There is therefore no registration number, no incorporation date, no registered office, no director list and no shareholder record for either side of this arrangement. That is a gap in the public record and nothing more: it is not a suggestion that either party is improperly constituted, and this record makes no such suggestion.

NO RIGHTS REGISTRY HOLDS EITHER PARTY. MusicBrainz returns count 0 for a label search on "Zinodict", count 0 for an artist search on "Waziyung" and count 0 for a release search on "Waziyung". The imprint has no registry entity anywhere this desk could reach.

PUBLISHING COULD NOT BE CHECKED AT ALL, AND THIS IS A LIMITATION NOT A FINDING. Three performing-rights repertory searches were attempted on 8 October 2026 and none was usable. The ASCAP repertory returned HTTP 403. The BMI Songview search returned HTTP 200 but serves its results client-side, so a plain request yields the search form and no rows. The PRS online works search would not connect, returning no HTTP status. Nigeria's collecting societies operate no public repertory search. No publisher, co-publisher or administrator for Waziyung's compositions is named in any source obtained, and no writer or composer credit could be retrieved for "Fuji Vibe": Deezer lists one contributor, the performer. The publishing position on this catalogue is unknown, and a recording signing is not evidence about it either way.

A CORRECTION TO THE TRADE FRAMING, RECORDED BECAUSE IT BEARS ON THIS DEAL. One of the three trade accounts of the announcement describes "Malaria" with Ayo Maff as Zinoleesky's own latest release. The delivered phonogram credit on that single, released 24 September 2026, reads "℗ 2026 OCEANSTREET CREATIVE LTD / EMPIRE", and Apple credits the release to "Ayo Maff & Zinoleesky". On the credit, Zinoleesky appears on that recording as a featured artist on another rights holder's master, and nothing obtained connects Zinodict Music to it. Separately, "Richard Mille (feat. Zinoleesky)", released 26 June 2026, two months after the Marlian exit, still reads "℗ 2026 Marlian Music". Only two of Zinoleesky's own releases carry the Zinodict credit: "Nostalgia" (24 April 2026) and "Dantata" (27 August 2026). Neither of those observations bears on who owns "Fuji Vibe"; both are recorded because they show that a label credit on one release says nothing about any other release by the same artist.

NAMES ARE RENDERED INCONSISTENTLY AND NO PRIMARY SOURCE SETTLES THEM. The signed artist appears as "Waziyung" on Apple, on Deezer, on Audiomack and in one trade account, as "Wazi Yung" in another trade account, and is separately associated with a "Waziwave" tag. This record uses "Waziyung" because that is the form in the delivered release metadata, which is the strongest source available. No legal name for this artist appears in any source obtained, and none is asserted here. Zinoleesky's legal name, Oniyide Azeez, is carried from the existing record on his exit from Marlian Music and is not re-established by any source in this record.

NO ARTIST-SIDE COUNTERPARTY ENTITY EXISTS, SO THIS RECORD HAS ONE PARTY. The counterparty to Zinodict Music here is a natural person, not a company. No corporate vehicle for Waziyung was located on any register, and the phonogram credits "℗ 2024 Waziyung" and "℗ 2026 Waziyung" on his earlier releases name the artist rather than an incorporated entity. No company record has been created for him, because creating one would assert a corporate existence that no document supports.

A THIRD-PARTY ACCOUNT USING THE LABEL'S NAME IS NOT THE LABEL. An Audiomack profile titled "ZINODICT MUSIC" exists at the slug zinodictmusic. Its own embedded data gives a creation timestamp equivalent to 25 September 2025, roughly seven months before the imprint was founded, with 130 followers, 2,906 total plays and no Waziyung material. It is not treated as an official channel anywhere in this record, and no claim in this record rests on it.

WHAT COULD NOT BE ESTABLISHED, AND WHAT WAS CHECKED. (1) Consideration: no advance, royalty rate, split, minimum guarantee or any sum appears in any source obtained; the amount field says "not disclosed" and no figure is estimated. (2) Term: no duration, release commitment, option or termination provision is stated anywhere. (3) The legal route by which Zinodict Music came to be named as owner: assignment, commission or release-under-name, as set out in the rights field. (4) Distribution: no distributor, aggregator or DSP relationship is named or evidenced, and the four unrelated ISRC registrant codes and four unrelated barcodes across the Zinodict-credited releases are recorded as an observation about identifiers only. (5) Publishing: unchecked for the reasons above. (6) Corporate particulars for either party. (7) Whether the Deezer "Independent" label value or the Apple phonogram line reflects the agreement. (8) Whether the earlier Bhadboi Kazkid release has any relationship to this label. This record will be updated if either party, a register, a rights registry or a reachable filing discloses consideration, term, rights allocation or distribution, or if a further Waziyung release resolves the platform divergence.

An artist signing was announced, and one day later a master recording appeared carrying the signing label’s name in the owner position. That credit is the only part of this transaction any document confirms.

On Thursday 1 October 2026, Zinoleesky (Oniyide Azeez) announced on his own Instagram account that Waziyung had become the first artist signed to Zinodict Music, the imprint he set up in April 2026 on leaving Marlian Music. Two separately authored trade accounts reproduce the post in identical wording: “Zinodict Music are proud to announce our first artist under my new label. The young and gifted @_waziyung. Fuji Vibe out tomorrow 02/10/26.”

The single arrived as promised. “Fuji Vibe”, Apple collection 6815895312, published 2 October 2026, carries the delivered phonogram credit “℗ 2026 Zinodict Music”. That credit is identical on all six Apple storefronts checked: the United States, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, South Africa, France and Germany.

The change can be dated. Waziyung has seven lead releases in Apple’s catalogue. Five of the six that precede “Fuji Vibe” name him personally as the phonogram owner: “℗ 2023 Waziyung” on Life Pressure, “℗ 2024 Waziyung” on My Life and on If No Be God, “℗ 2025 Waziyung” on FESTIVO, and “℗ 2026 Waziyung” on Olomi, released 19 April 2026. The sixth, Thankful of July 2024, names Tzmediahouse. Five and a half months after Olomi, the owner position on a Waziyung master is occupied by a company rather than by Waziyung.

What the credit does not say matters as much. A phonogram line names the party claiming the sound recording copyright in the delivered metadata. It does not distinguish an assignment from the artist, a master the label commissioned and owned from the first session, or an artist-owned master released under a label’s name. No recording agreement, assignment, deal memo or filing has been obtained, so this record does not choose between them. It does rule out a licence: the line names one party and carries none of the licensing constructions that appear elsewhere in both artists’ catalogues.

No consideration was disclosed. No advance, royalty rate, term, option, recoupment provision or equity figure appears in any source obtained. No publisher or publishing administrator is named for Waziyung’s compositions anywhere, and no distributor is named for the release. Neither company resolves to any corporate register this desk can read: the United Kingdom register returns zero results for Zinodict, Zinoleesky and Waziyung, Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission has no public search interface, and MusicBrainz holds no label entity for Zinodict and no artist entity for Waziyung.

Read the caveat below before citing this record. It sets out a divergence between Apple’s phonogram field and Deezer’s label field on the same recording, and an earlier release by a different artist that Deezer labels Zinodict Music four months and ten days before Waziyung was announced as the first signing.
