British rapper Santan Dave will perform his first headline shows in Nigeria, closing his The Boy Who Played the Harp world tour at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Lagos on October 16 and 17.
The tour was announced in October 2025 and began in Munich in February, with dates across Europe, North America, Australia and South Africa. The Nigeria stop was confirmed on June 9, on the 102nd day of a daily campaign by a Nigerian fan on X asking Dave to include the country.
Dave responded to the fan: “My brother. Your watch has ended.” He has described the Lagos shows as a “special homecoming.”
Live performances#
The Lagos shows are expected to draw a crowd of about 4,000 people. Setlists are likely to include major records and deeper cuts, with the live setting offering a different experience from streaming the songs.
Dave and Tems#
Dave and Tems have collaborated on “Raindance” and Tems’ song “Mine,” and have made public appearances together over the past year, including a live performance. Tems has not been confirmed for the Lagos shows, but a joint appearance would likely draw significant attention.
Piano and guitar#
Dave has not performed with a harp on the tour despite the album title. His sets have featured piano and electric guitar, and the Lagos shows are expected to include similar instrumentation.
Possible guest appearances#
No guest performers have been confirmed for the Lagos dates. Holograms have been used at some stops on the tour. Possible collaborators named by fans include Burna Boy, Central Cee and Stormzy, but none has been announced.
