India-based talent management firm Cornerstone has launched a music division, Cornerstone Music, with an initial roster of two hip-hop acts: Raja Kumari, who primarily raps in English, and Quake, who primarily raps in Punjabi.
The new vertical will work with artists, songwriters, composers and producers through a 360-degree model spanning “content, brand partnerships, live entertainment, film, digital and the wider culture space”.
Cornerstone said the division “is built around discovering and developing talent, not just representing it once success has already arrived”. It also plans to acquire original songs and create music-related intellectual properties.
Artificial intelligence tools described as “AI-assisted” will be used to support that process. The company said Cornerstone Music will “explore how they can lower the cost of music creation for emerging artists [in] writing, composing and producing so they can showcase their work without needing a large budget”.
Leadership and scale#
“Music has always been the missing piece for us. We’ve spent years building careers in sport and entertainment by backing people before the world catches on, and that’s exactly the instinct we’re bringing to Cornerstone Music,” said CEO Bunty Sajdeh, who founded Cornerstone in 2008.
The agency represents more than 200 talents through a team of over 100 people across offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Dubai.
Split from Dharma#
The launch follows the closure of Dharma Cornerstone Agency, a joint venture between filmmaker Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions and Cornerstone that was launched in 2021. The partners parted ways in 2025 after Dharma reportedly acquired Cornerstone’s 45% stake in the partnership.
Since then, Cornerstone has managed a roster made up mostly of sportspersons and a few actors and singers. Dharma rebranded its talent division as Dharma Collab Artists Agency, handling talent that mostly comprises Hindi film stars plus a handful of musicians such as Punjabi pop vocalist Harrdy Sandhu.
