Boss TLee Praises Cassper Nyovest’s SAMA32 Hosting Debut
Boss TLee publicly praised Cassper Nyovest after the rapper co-hosted the 32nd South African Music Awards at Sun City Superbowl with about three weeks of preparation.
South African rapper Cassper Nyovest co-hosted the 32nd South African Music Awards (SAMA32) on 15 August at the Sun City Superbowl in the North West province, his first time in the role. His longtime manager, Lerato “T-Lee” Moiloa, known as Boss TLee, publicly praised the performance after a preparation window of about three weeks.

A first-time hosting role
Nyovest shared main hosting duties with Zanele Potelwa, a presenter at South African radio station 5FM. The pairing followed the end of a long-running disagreement between Nyovest and the SAMAs, with the rapper confirming in July that both sides had reached an agreement.
Nyovest had said before the event that he felt nervous but intended to bring his personality and energy to the stage. His hosting role was confirmed in late July, leaving roughly three weeks before the ceremony on 15 August.
Return to North West
Potelwa brought broadcasting experience to the broadcast, while Nyovest contributed his stage presence. The ceremony returned to the North West province, where Nyovest was born in Mahikeng and has represented throughout his career.
The SAMA32 weekend included the Industry Awards before the main ceremony and a red carpet with major names from South Africa’s music industry.
Boss TLee has managed Nyovest since 2011.
