Cassper Nyovest, rapper and chief executive of Family Tree, has publicly credited Jesus for the life he enjoys today, in a message posted on the social media platform X.
The post reflected on his journey, his imperfections and what he described as God’s love remaining constant throughout.
“I do not wanna lie man. I love an amazing life and I only have 1 source to thank. His name is Jesus. That time, ke flopo ya motho mara da bra ong rata vuil !!! Yoh !! Amazing,” he wrote.
Mixing English with Sesotho and colloquial street expressions, Cassper offered a glimpse into how he views his relationship with God. His reference to once being a “flopo ya motho” points to a period of personal shortcomings.
He also said Jesus continued to love him despite his flaws, which he presents as an illustration of the overwhelming nature of God’s grace.
The post drew responses from social media users, many of them positive. Some said it reminded them that divine love does not depend on human perfection.
Cassper has spoken openly about his Christian faith, including in discussions of his personal growth, career and life experiences. Despite his success in the entertainment industry, he continues to name Jesus, rather than his achievements, as the source of his blessings.
In the post, he said he remains grateful to Jesus for loving him through every season, regardless of where he has been or the mistakes he may have made along the way.
