Create Music Group is a Los Angeles-based independent music distribution and rights-management company, founded in 2015 by Jonathan Strauss, originally under the name CreateTV. Alongside distribution, it runs publishing, content-creation and data/analytics businesses, and in November 2025 launched Circuit Capital, an acquisition vehicle for music catalogues, labels and publishing with more than $500 million in stated commitments.
The company is privately held. Strauss and the founding team retained majority ownership through a March 2026 capital raise of roughly $450 million in equity and debt, reported at a $2.2 billion valuation; no SEC filing exists to verify that figure independently, as Create is not a public registrant.
