Dlala Thukzin to make Ghana debut at Accra House Fest

South African 3-step and Afro-tech artist Dlala Thukzin is set to make his debut performance in Ghana on 22 December as part of the 2026 edition of Accra House Fest.

The Durban-born artist is the first international act announced for this year’s festival, which will take place as a day-to-night event in Accra. Further local and international performers are expected to be announced.

Dlala Thukzin, whose music incorporates 3-step, gqom and Afro-tech, gained international attention with his 2023 single ‘iPlan’, which topped charts and was certified double Platinum. He was also nominated for a BET Award for Best New International Act.

The second edition of Accra House Fest follows its inaugural event in 2025, which attracted more than 1,000 house music fans across a series of events.

According to organisers, the festival is also intended to provide performance and development opportunities for Ghanaian house music artists, including through workshops and exchanges with international musicians.

Araba Ofori-Acquah, who performs as Araba.OA and co-founded Accra House Fest, said the local house music scene was developing rapidly.

“Accra’s house scene is at a really exciting point,” she said. “More and more people are discovering this alternative side to the city’s nightlife, where creative expression, community and joy are more important than aesthetics, titles or status.

“And our artists are leading the way – we have incredibly talented Ghanaian DJs and producers, as well as artists like Sister Derby and Moliy bringing more awareness to this kind of sound.”

The 2026 festival will feature performances by Ghanaian DJ collectives, alongside international acts yet to be announced. The programme will also include a cultural market, art installations and a chill-out area.

Tickets are currently on sale through the Accra House Fest website, while media accreditation is available to interested media organisations and journalists.
