Cairo Jazz Club is a live music venue and nightclub in Giza, Egypt, founded in 2001 by Akram El Sherif, Alexander Rizk and Ammar Dajani. The original venue sits on 26th of July Street in Agouza; a larger second location, CJC 610, opened in February 2018 at Al Guezira Plaza in Sheikh Zayed with an expanded stage, an outdoor courtyard and a full food menu.
The company is independent and Egyptian-owned. Alongside the two venues, it runs an events and booking arm known as the Cairo Jazz Club Agency. Over more than two decades it has hosted acts spanning jazz, house, techno, indie rock and Egyptian pop, and is credited by Egyptian press as a starting point for performers including members of Eftekasat and Wust El Balad.
Cairo Jazz Club is one of Cairo’s longest-running independent live music businesses, and its two venues remain reference points for the city’s electronic and live-music scene.
