Hitskope Music Group is a music distribution and label services company based in the Los Angeles area, founded by Danny Barros. Its own site describes three divisions: a record label, a publishing and sync licensing agency, and a label services and marketing agency, and states that its model is built on short-term licensing with artists retaining ownership of their work.
Hitskope is named in the phonogram credit line on Matt B’s ALKEBULAN (18 August 2023) and ALKEBULAN II (23 August 2024), both of which read “Vitae Records, under exclusive license to Hitskope”. ALKEBULAN II won Best Global Music Album at the 67th Grammy Awards. The wording is absent from the 2022 “Gimme Love” single and from ALKEBULAN III: The Water Remembers (21 August 2026), which reads “Vitae Records” alone.
No announcement of the arrangement between Vitae Records and Hitskope was located, and no term, territory or consideration for it is public.
