Album details#

Produced by Nduduzo Makhathini, LINDA explores purpose, belonging, love, lineage and spirituality. The title draws on Sikhakhane’s name and the meaning of “patience”, with the project centred on allowing things to develop in their own time.

The album features contributions from Omagugu, Zuluboy, Phila Dlozi, Ovuyonke and Thabo Sikhakhane, alongside Sikhakhane’s core band. It draws on South African jazz while incorporating elements of hip-hop, Mzansi neo-soul and amapiano.

“LINDA began with a question to self: what is my purpose in this lifetime? This music carries my name, and with it the meaning of patience – a reminder to trust the path and allow everything to come together in its own time. Taking this album from South Africa to the United States is a continuation of that conversation.”

Sikhakhane, from Umlazi in KwaZulu-Natal, studied jazz and popular music at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and began learning saxophone at the Siyakhula Music Centre. His previous project, iLadi, won Best Jazz Album at South Africa’s Metro FM Music Awards in 2025.

Tour dates and ticket details are available through Sikhakhane’s official channels.
