Ayra Starr and Instagram tagged posts feature

Nigeria’s Ayra Starr is the first artist to use a new Instagram feature that lets users add posts they are tagged in to their main profile grid. The feature is available starting today, and for a limited time Starr will add some of her favorite fan-tagged posts to her profile. She is also set to perform at a National Football League (NFL) halftime show in London.

Instagram outlined three ways to add tagged posts to a main grid. Fans can visit Starr’s Instagram page to see which supporter posts she selects.

The Afrobeats singer is a two-time Grammy nominee for Best African Music Performance and has performed at Glastonbury Festival.

“I’m so excited to perform at the NFL halftime show in London,” she said. “London is one of my favorite places in the world, and to bring Starrgirl to the NFL global stage is a dream come true for me. I can’t wait to see you guys there!”

The game will be the second NFL event at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in as many weeks, with the Indianapolis Colts set to face the Washington Commanders at the venue on October 4. A halftime performer for that game has not been announced.

International NFL games this season will feature halftime performances from several artists, including Cage the Elephant in Munich, the Jonas Brothers in Melbourne, Pedro Sampaio and Ricky Martin in Rio, The Warning in Mexico City, and Ayra Starr in London.

“Ayra Starr is a generational talent with a real connection to fans in this market, and building on the halftime shows we have staged in London in recent seasons, she is the right artist to carry that momentum forward,” said Tim Tubito, Senior Director of Global Game Presentation, Music and Entertainment at the NFL. “We look forward to collaborating with her on a performance that captures the energy that matches the moment.”
