Helix Records and Payday Music Publishing have opened a European hub in central London, United Kingdom.
The New York-headquartered independent said the site is built around long-term artist and songwriter development.
Located in a six-story Georgian townhouse in Marylebone, the hub spans 6,000 sq. ft.
Facilities#
Its facilities include:

- recording studios
- event and performance spaces
- songwriting rooms
- content creation areas
The building’s recording facilities comprise seven rooms: four recording studios and three songwriting suites.
Developed with Miloco Studios, the rooms are fitted with audio systems from ATC, Augspurger, PMC, and Genelec.
The London event space joins Payday and Helix’s venues in Los Angeles and New York, which have hosted acts including Louie Vega, DJ Premier, and San Holo.
The London hub was designed and project managed by Bernadette Cruz, Director for Payday Music, and Alice Anselmetti, General Manager for Payday Music.

“We have always believed in putting artist and songwriter development at the heart of everything we do,” said Patrick Moxey, founder and CEO of both companies. “When designing our new European base, it was important to create a music focused environment where creativity could genuinely flourish.
“I remember coming to London in the ’80s and ’90s, when amazing, creator friendly companies like Island Records had offices that artists and songwriters actually wanted to work and hang out in.
“I think the industry is in danger of losing that connection with their talent, and we’re fully focused on growing that in-person bond whilst also maximizing the digital era, through our studios, content rooms and social media platforms.”
Company background#
Moxey got his start managing acts including Gang Starr, Beenie Man, Jamiroquai, and Sly & Robbie.
He founded Payday Records in 1992 as a hip-hop label, releasing early work by Jay-Z, Jeru the Damaja, Mos Def, and J Dilla.
In 2022, he launched a new label group, inking a global strategic alliance with Warner Recorded Music for Helix and Payday Records, with global digital distribution handled by Warner’s independent services arm, ADA Worldwide.
Helix Records’ roster includes AR/CO, Jamie Jones, Shimza, and Marshall.
