Applications are open for the third edition of FuTopia, scheduled for 6 to 8 August 2027 in Fumba Town, Zanzibar, Tanzania. Artists and creative practitioners across a range of disciplines have until 31 October 2026 to apply.
The festival is organised by Busara Promotions and brings together music, art, culture, ideas, wellbeing and sustainable living. Its second edition drew 3,700 people over two days and featured contributors from Tanzania and Zanzibar, South Africa, Burundi, Chile, Canada, Morocco and Mexico.

The festival said it is particularly interested in artists who engage audiences, experiment with new ideas and create participatory experiences.
“We are grateful to everyone who has been part of the FuTopia journey so far,” Lorenz Herrmann, managing director of Busara Promotions, said. “The artists, audiences, partners, volunteers and communities have all helped shape what the festival is becoming. For our third edition, we want to continue creating space for new voices, new ideas and meaningful experiences.”
