South African music group Mango Groove will headline the Sunset Music Series at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden in Roodepoort on Heritage Day, 24 September 2026.
The performance follows the group’s 40th anniversary celebrations in 2025 and forms part of a four-hour outdoor concert marking South Africa’s cultural heritage through live music.
Mango Groove, known for combining Afropop, marabi, kwela and big-band influences, is expected to perform songs from its catalogue, including:
- Special Star
- Dance Some More
- Moments Away
- Another Country
“There’s something incredibly special about performing outdoors, surrounded by nature and families coming together to celebrate music,” lead vocalist Claire Johnston said. “Heritage Day is the perfect occasion to celebrate who we are as South Africans, and we can’t wait to share an afternoon of joy, dancing, and memories with everyone at the Walter Sisulu Gardens.”
The Sunset Music Series will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with the botanical garden providing an outdoor setting for families and friends. The event is being held in association with HOT 102.7 FM and supported by Chery.
