Encore Recordings is an independent, full-service record label founded in Beverly Hills in 2021 by former major-label executive Joie Manda, who owns it outright alongside his publishing company, Platinum Grammar. Ned Monahan is president, having been promoted from general manager, and Jacob Fain, formerly of Warner Music Group’s Elektra Records, heads A&R. Distribution runs through what Manda has described as a strategic partnership with The Orchard and Sony Music, short of an equity stake or joint venture.
Its roster includes South African amapiano artist Uncle Waffles (Lungelihle Zwane), whose recorded output has carried the phonographic credit “KO-SIGN PTY LTD., distributed exclusively for the world by Encore Recordings” on releases from March 2023 onward, per Apple’s own catalogue metadata. Other signees include Dei V, Vict0ny, EBK Jaaybo, Khamari and Saul Villarreal.
Ownership: independent, wholly owned by founder Joie Manda.
