Josplay is a Nigerian audio streaming platform built around African and diaspora repertoire. Its own sites describe three products: the consumer streaming service at josplay.com, the African Music Library, a free reference database of African music metadata, and a developer API.
The company presents itself under two names. The footer of josplay.com carries both “Copyright 2026 Josplay ™ Inc” and “A Product of Josplay Entertainment Ltd”, checked 29 August 2026. Afrobeats Wire has not been able to resolve which entity holds the contracts. A search of the UK register of companies for “Josplay” returns no results, and Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission has no public search API, so the Nigerian filing position could not be checked.
In April 2026 Josplay announced a content partnership with Sony Music Entertainment covering the Lusafrica and Africa Nostra catalogues and recordings distributed through The Orchard.
