Coup D’Etat Music is a Los Angeles boutique music publisher, distributor and record label operating as a subsidiary of The Revels Group, a management, label, publishing and production company. It is led by founder and chief executive Matt Geffen, who is also president of The Revels Group. It is not African-owned, and is included in this directory for two named transactions involving Nigerian artists.
In October 2023, Coup D’Etat Music formed a publishing joint venture with Avex USA Publishing to sign Nigerian Afrobeats artist Victony to a global deal.
