Stage Tour, a new music rhythm game from the developers behind the original Guitar Hero and Rock Band era, will launch on December 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC.
The title is designed to carry forward the features players valued in that period while adding new input and multiplayer options, according to its developers.
Setlist and song reveals#
The game includes more than 90 licensed songs spanning six decades. Its setlist features tracks from artists including the following, among others:
- The Rolling Stones
- Metallica
- Radiohead
- The Cure
- Red Hot Chili Peppers
- Mötley Crüe
- Paramore
- Olivia Rodrigo
- Fall Out Boy
- Ghost
- Genesis
- Black Eyed Peas
- Slipknot
- Weezer
- Tenacious D
- ZZ Top
Developer RedOctane recently revealed 20 additional songs, joining 25 previously announced tracks. That accounts for half of the launch total, with more to be shown in the Stage Tour Setlist Reveal Series on social media in the weeks before launch.
Instruments, bandmates, and multiplayer#
Players can unlock legendary instruments as they progress, building a collection that draws on real rock heritage. A roster of more than 50 bandmates, each with distinct playstyles and skins, offers over 150 unlockable combinations at launch.
Stage Tour supports guitar controllers, drum controllers, and microphones, along with standard gamepads, keyboard, and mouse. Custom note charts have been built for each input type rather than adapting a single guitar chart across controllers.
The game includes cross-platform online co-op play and online leaderboards. Up to four players can play together locally using any combination of guitar, drums, microphone, or gamepad.
Pricing and hardware#
Stage Tour will be priced at $39.99. It can be wishlisted now on supported digital storefronts, including Steam and Epic Games on PC. Digital preorders will open closer to launch.
The Stage Tour Kramer Guitar & Game Bundle includes the official Kramer Guitar Controller and the full game, starting at $129.99. Preorders of the Kramer kit also include an exclusive Stage Tour Comic Book created with Dark Horse Comics.
Additional hardware will be sold separately, including the Stage Tour Drum Kit, Wireless Microphone, and Wired USB Microphone. More officially licensed Gibson guitar controllers will be available, including the 8K Gibson Explorer 20th Anniversary Edition and the Gibson Les Paul Oxblood Edition.
