Kobalt Music Group Limited is a London-registered music publishing and rights technology company, incorporated on 21 June 2000 (company number 04018752) and registered at 5th Floor, Goldings House, 2 Hays Lane, London SE1 2HB. It was founded by Willard Ahdritz and is led by chief executive Laurent Hubert. Kobalt describes itself as a publishing administrator rather than a traditional publisher, and operates AMRA, a global digital collection vehicle.

Francisco Partners took a controlling interest in September 2022. Primary Wave Music agreed to acquire the company in March 2026, and the UK register records a change in Kobalt’s persons with significant control on 7 July 2026.

Kobalt signed a publishing deal with the Lagos company Inner Circle Publishing in November 2025. Neither party disclosed the structure, term or territory of that arrangement.
