Nigeria’s ZAA Nurty Releases New Single ‘Dangerous’

Nigerian singer-songwriter ZAA Nurty has released a new Afrobeats single, Dangerous, centered on desire and temptation.

ZAA Nurty

Nigerian singer-songwriter ZAA Nurty, who is based in Denver, has released a new single, “Dangerous.” The track marks the start of a new creative chapter for the artist.

Built on Afrobeats rhythms, the song centers on desire, temptation, and losing control. It describes the moment attraction moves from thought to action, and it sits in the tension between knowing better and wanting more. The record is designed for both dance floors and headphone listening.

In a statement, ZAA Nurty said: “Every era demands a different version of yourself. Dangerous is about embracing that version without apology. Sometimes the things that scare us the most are the very things that make us feel alive.”

Background and catalog

The single follows weeks of teasers, visual previews, and the reveal of its cover artwork. ZAA Nurty has framed the release as part of a wider creative rollout that links music, imagery, and storytelling.

Born in Oshodi, Lagos, ZAA Nurty left Nigeria in 2022 and moved to Denver. His sound draws from Afrobeats, Fuji, and wider African musical traditions, alongside contemporary influences and emotionally direct songwriting.

His catalog includes early releases and fan favorites such as:

  • “Vitamin C”
  • Ice Cream & Chocolate
  • “Comprende”
  • “Lenu”
  • “LaVida Loca”

His releases also include the projects With Love, ZAA and With Love, ZAA Always. He formed Nurty Boiz and later signed with Cold Summer The Label. He cites Fela Kuti and King Sunny Ade among African musical influences, and Bob Marley among global influences.

Release details

“Dangerous” is available worldwide on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
