Metro FM is a South African national music radio station founded in October 1986 as Radio Metro. It broadcasts urban contemporary music and streams online alongside its FM signal.

It is owned and operated by the South African Broadcasting Corporation. It is a separate station and operation from its SABC sister services 5FM and Ukhozi FM.

It matters as one of the principal national outlets for South African urban music airplay, including Amapiano, house and hip-hop, and runs the Metro FM Music Awards.
