Soundcity Radio is a Nigerian music radio network that went on air in Lagos in July 2016, following test transmissions earlier that year. It streams online and sits alongside the Soundcity television channel.
It is owned by Consolidated Media Associates, the Nigerian media company founded in 2001 by Tajuddeen Adepetu, which built the Soundcity brand into a pan-African music media operation.
It matters as the radio arm of one of the more widely distributed African music media brands, linking broadcast radio to a music television channel and awards platform.
