5FM is a South African national music radio station, launched on 13 October 1975 and broadcasting contemporary and dance music. It streams online alongside its FM signal.

It is owned and operated by the South African Broadcasting Corporation, the state public broadcaster, and sits alongside SABC stations including Metro FM and Ukhozi FM.

It matters as one of the national youth music stations in South Africa and a long-standing airplay outlet for local and international pop and dance releases.
