Tokio Hotel Launch Anniversary Podcast in 3 Languages

Tokio Hotel will release a 12-episode podcast tied to their new album Encore in German, English and Spanish, supported by Vodafone and AI translation tools.

Tokio Hotel Encore podcast

Tokio Hotel, the band from Germany led by twin brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz, will release a 12-episode podcast tied to their forthcoming album Encore as part of the group’s 25th anniversary.

The podcast, also titled Encore, is the band’s first. It will be available across podcast platforms, with video versions on Spotify and YouTube. Bill and Tom Kaulitz already host a separate Spotify-exclusive podcast.

Vodafone is the exclusive brand partner for the series. The company will provide weekly deals and offers linked to episodes and will have branding on the podcast microphones.

Three-language rollout#

The series will run one episode per song on Encore. It is being produced in three languages to reach the band’s global fanbase: German as Zugabe im Tokio Hotel, English as ENCORE: Tokio Hotel, and Spanish as ¡Otra! ¡Otra! Tokio Hotel.

Each language version has dedicated podcast feeds and social media channels. Because the band’s first language is German, the English and Spanish editions use artificial intelligence (AI) for voice cloning and translation. The translated episodes are published after the German versions, allowing time for fact-checking. On YouTube, translated episodes carry an AI label.

AI tools for multilingual podcasts#

Several AI audio platforms now support translation, dubbing and editing across languages while preserving the original host’s vocal characteristics and timing:

Studio-grade vocal cloning tools such as SoundLabs AI (MicDrop) and Voice-Swap offer models for high-fidelity voice synthesis. Spotify has also introduced a native podcast translation feature powered by OpenAI, but it remains in a limited beta restricted to Spotify-hosted feeds and does not support export for external RSS distribution.
