The DIY Collective, in partnership with Fashion Bae, is proud to announce the launch of The Sample Room, a new hands-on workshop series designed to equip women in fashion and creative spaces with practical skills, industry exposure, and opportunities for professional growth.

The inaugural edition, taking place on August 27, 2026, will focus on upcycling, inviting participants to explore sustainable fashion by transforming existing garments and materials into contemporary pieces through guided, hands-on learning.

“The Sample Room reflects our commitment to creating accessible pathways into the fashion industry through practical learning and community,” said Lammy Ademeso, Founder of The DIY Collective.

Designed as an intimate experience for just 15 participants, The Sample Room emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and practical skill development over traditional panel discussions.

Outstanding participants will also be considered for internship opportunities with selected fashion industry partners, extending the impact of the workshop beyond the classroom.

“At the core of fashion is experimentation and self-expression, The Sample Room is about creating access and making space for creatives to develop their creative voice” said Senami Maugbe, Founder of Fashion Bae.

Applications for the workshop are now open. For registration and updates, follow @the_diycollective and @fashionbaeshow or visit the registration link: www.thediycollective.com
