Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival raised $10 million for its 10 nonprofit partners, a total doubled to $20 million by matching funds from philanthropist Melinda French Gates.
The event took place this weekend. Katseye, which had withdrawn after a group member was injured, still made an appearance.
The 10 partner organisations are:
- Baby2Baby
- Black Mamas Matter Alliance
- the Center for Productive Rights
- FreeFrom
- Jhpiego
- the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health
- the National Domestic Workers Alliance
- the National Institute for Reproductive Health
- the National Women’s Law Center
- Planned Parenthood
The selected organisations reflect Rodrigo’s activism on reproductive rights, gender equity and maternal health.
Rodrigo said in a statement: “Daisy Chain Fields is a music festival founded on the belief that joy, community, and creativity can inspire meaningful change. It affirms that music and collective experience can serve as enduring drivers of progress and social change. It’s a place where inspiration and curiosity lead to knowledge, strength, and action.”
