Nile Rodgers will host a new podcast from U.S.-based iHeartMedia‘s Ruby studio and Lincoln, titled “Before the Moment with Nile Rodgers.” The series premieres Sept. 15 and pairs Rodgers with artists to discuss turning points in their lives and careers.
The first six episodes feature:
- Sienna Spiro, a British singer
- John Legend, an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) winner
- Alex Warren, singer of “Ordinary”
- Miguel, a Grammy winner
- Goo Goo Dolls
Additional guests will be announced.
Episode format#
In each episode, Rodgers sits down with an artist to look back at a defining turning point. The conversations explore what was happening just before everything changed, along with the people, choices and circumstances that shaped what came next.
Host background#
Rodgers is a songwriter, producer and musician whose career spans five decades. He is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, chairman and inductee of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and a multiple Grammy Award winner. He co-founded Chic and has collaborated on major hits by Diana Ross, Madonna, David Bowie, Duran Duran, Daft Punk, Coldplay and Beyoncé.
