Nigerian music executive DapperDam has denied contract and payment allegations made by Nigerian artists Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi and T.I Blaze, saying available records and ongoing processes will establish the truth.
In posts on his official X account on Saturday, August 15, 2026, DapperDam challenged the artists to subject their contracts and financial records to independent audits.
“I will not demean myself by disrespecting the one thing I stand on, which is my love for music. So I won’t stoop so low as to engage in insults. I have nothing to hide. The records exist. The authorities have them. Let the process establish the truth.”
He added: “Don’t come online and spill rubbish narratives, & lies, only to mislead the public! You chose to leave! No one forced you, and we are still fine without you! Move on! Stop acting obsessed!”
Audit challenge
DapperDam referred to Shallipopi as “Mr. Elon” and said an audit had already been conducted, while challenging the artists to seek another independent review.
“We already did an audit from a reputable company! Surprise surprise, who owes who? If e sure for any of you, make we go KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, Templers, Aluko & Oyebode, Olaniwun Ajayi LP, Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie. Any top law firm and auditing firm. Let them run a forensic analysis and interpret both the accounts and the contract for us, and tell you I cheated you!”
Contract history and scheduled appearance
DapperDam said the relationship began in 2021 and that he put money down for the first project before receiving any music.
“For the avoidance of doubt, this relationship began in 2021, and it began with me putting money down for your first project before getting any music from you. God made me, nigga! Dapper Damm, Son of God!”
He also disputed a claim involving a scheduled appearance, saying he attended the event while Shallipopi did not.
“For our last scheduled appearance, you didn’t show up nigga. I was there, but you wanna come online and say, ‘let’s meet in court’, when you’re the one running from court,” he added.
Ongoing processes
DapperDam maintained that the relevant records were available and said the appropriate processes were ongoing.
“I have said what I need to say. The records are available. The appropriate processes are ongoing,” he wrote.
