MNRK Music Group has acquired the recorded catalog of Black Label Society, the American heavy metal band founded by Zakk Wylde.
The catalog spans more than two decades and contains 11 studio albums, MNRK said in a Tuesday (September 15) announcement.

The transaction also covers live releases, compilation projects, EPs, Wylde’s solo recordings and the largely acoustic 2013 live album Unblackened, the company said. No purchase price was disclosed.
Executive comments#
MNRK said the agreement extends a years-long relationship with Wylde and creates openings for reissues, catalog curation and legacy campaigns. The company plans to use its distribution and marketing operations to expand the catalog’s presence across streaming, vinyl and other formats.
Wylde will continue to have a role in how the music is presented, according to MNRK.

Recent acquisitions and releases#
MNRK bought the Los Angeles-headquartered metal label Prosthetic Records in June 2025; the Black Label Society deal follows that purchase. Prosthetic has released music by acts such as Lamb of God and The Acacia Strain and now sits within the MNRK Heavy division.
Financial terms of that acquisition were also not disclosed. MNRK said at the time that the purchase was part of its investment in heavy music, and the company says the Black Label Society agreement extends that commitment across both established catalogs and newer acts.
Black Label Society’s most recent studio album, Engines of Demolition, is the band’s 12th and is not part of the MNRK acquisition. It was released on March 27 this year via Spinefarm, MNRK said in January.
That announcement said Wylde began writing the album in 2022 while on the Pantera Celebration World Tour and kept working on it through 2025.
MNRK background#
MNRK Music Group operated as eOne Music until September 2021. The rebrand followed Hasbro‘s sale of the business to entities controlled by Blackstone for USD $385 million in 2021.
Sean Stevenson has led the company since July 2024, after the resignation of then-president and CEO Chris Taylor.
The company says it is among the world’s largest independent music companies, active in all major music markets, with a catalog of 70,000 tracks across its divisions. Its other music companies include Dualtone Music Group, Last Gang and Prosthetic Records.
