Kenya Music Festival Day 8: Performances and Digital Identity Classes at Kibabii University

Day 8 of the 98th Kenya Music Festival took place at Kibabii University in Kenya, with learners presenting performances across 13 halls.

The programme included African folk and gospel songs, cultural dances, sacred and Oriental pieces, recitals, choral and solo verse in five languages, special-needs verse, instrumental ensembles, and Taarab.

Special classes were supported by Kenya’s Public Service Commission, Equity Group, and the Central Bank of Kenya‘s 60th anniversary (CBK@60) sponsorship. Kenya’s Communications Authority also introduced new classes focused on building a positive digital identity for learners with disabilities.

The festival is guided by the theme “Enhancing the Creative Economy Through Knowledge, Skills and Artistic Production for Sustainable Development.”
