Young Legend is a Nigerian record label and artist-development imprint founded by singer Joeboy (Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus) in February 2024, after his exit from Mr Eazi’s emPawa Africa. Joeboy’s own recordings are released through the label, credited on Apple Music as (P) Young Legend Ltd, and the label has begun signing outside talent, starting with Kvng Vidarr.
The label is founded and owned by Joeboy. Its recorded output was exclusively licensed to Warner Music Africa for releases between February 2024 and March 2025, per Apple Music’s copyright credits on those releases; Warner Music Group is not disclosed as holding equity in Young Legend itself. Day-to-day leadership includes Joeboy as CEO, Deola Jaiyesimi as Head of Label and Teniola Akanni as Head of Legal.
Young Legend is based in Lagos and has no dedicated corporate website separate from Joeboy’s own artist site.
