Wahoo Music is the name on the sound recording copyright line of at least 71 distinct commercial releases by Ghanaian artists, read on Apple Music’s Ghana storefront in September 2026. The phonogram years on those releases run from 2011 to August 2026. Sarkodie accounts for 38 of them, Captain Planet 4×4 for 17 and Eno Barony for seven.
The company’s own website describes it as “a music investment firm focused on acquiring and growing catalogues that preserve Africa’s cultural legacy”, headquartered in Singapore with regional hubs in Africa. Its contact section lists an Asia head office in Singapore and hubs in Lagos, Abidjan and Dar es Salaam. A news item dated 1 May 2025 on the same site gives a slightly different footprint, naming hubs in “Nigeria & Ghana (West Africa)”, Cote d’Ivoire and Tanzania, and partners in South Africa. The two lists are not identical: only the news item includes Ghana, which is where almost all of the catalogue carrying the Wahoo Music credit originates.
The site’s partners section shows sixteen logos, among them Bytetunes, ONErpm and WAKA Music, alongside Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Audiomack, Universal Music, Sony Music, Warner, Amazon Music, TikTok, Tencent Music Entertainment, NetEase Cloud Music, BMI and PRS. The site describes these as companies it collaborates with. It does not describe any of them as a subsidiary, a parent or a commonly owned affiliate.
The website does not state a registered legal name, a company number, a director or a shareholder. One live Singapore registration matches the trading name: WAHOO MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT PTE. LTD., UEN 202238941N, a local company incorporated on 2 November 2022 with a registered address on Cecil Street, Singapore 049711, status Registered. It is the only entity on the Singapore register whose name begins with the words Wahoo Music. No document checked links that registration to the phonogram credit or to the website, and the match rests on name and stated jurisdiction alone.
