Universal Music Middle East & North Africa is Universal Music Group’s regional operation, based in Dubai and led by CEO Patrick Boulos. It signs and distributes artists and runs regional initiatives across the Gulf, Egypt and North Africa, including the Chabaka youth-talent programme that followed UMG’s August 2023 acquisition of UAE-based Chabaka Music.
It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Universal Music Group; no independent UAE filing confirms its exact corporate structure.
On 2 October 2023 it announced a partnership with Cairo-based Harb Management naming three Egyptian hip-hop artists, Ahmed Santa, Slyver and Abo El Anwar, as flagship signings under the deal.
