Tuned Global is an Australian B2B music streaming technology company founded in Melbourne in 2010 by Con Raso, who remains its managing director. It builds white-label streaming apps, streaming APIs, catalogue delivery and metadata tooling for companies that want to run their own DSP rather than build one from scratch. It is independently owned.
Its African work is concentrated on the technology side rather than content ownership. Tuned Global supplies the platform behind Sewasew, the Ethiopian streaming service and label that signed a licensing deal with Universal Music Group in November 2023, and built Sewasew’s religious-content spinoff, Betemezmur. It has also partnered with Jumamo in Nigeria, Tieme Music in Ghana and WAW Musik in Cote d’Ivoire, supplying the same white-label infrastructure to each.
Tuned Global owns none of these platforms outright; it is the technology vendor behind them. That is still a material, named African operation across four markets, which is why it is listed here rather than as a passing mention in a deal story.
